Diwali Aarti in Lakshmi Pooja is the important ritual on Diwali whereas Aarti is an important ritual in Hinduism. Diwali Aarti is performed to Goddess Lakshmi, known as Mata ki Aarti or Lakshmi Aarti and Aarti performed to Ganesh is known as Ganesh Ji aarti. However, Aarti is a combination of two words, “Aa” stands for “complete” and “rati” stands for “Love”.

Generally, it is considered as the Pooja is incomplete without performing Diwali Aarti in Lakshmi Pooja. Diwali Aarti is performed with burning camphor or ghee Diya in the Pooja Thali and also a song is sung to admire the God. In order to express love and honor towards God, Aarti is performed.

The significance of Ganesh Ji Aarti:

According to Hindu mythology, Aarti shows the completion of the Pooja and eliminates the wickedness from the human mind and environment. Besides that Aarti is considered as a form of better meditation which could be done for one’s peace. Moreover, Aarti wreaks a human mind and soul closer towards God.

The significance of Diwali Aarti in Lakshmi Pooja:

Lakshmi Aarti is an important ritual which is performed during Diwali festival. Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped to get prosperity, wealth and health. Generally, people clean their houses before Lakshmi Pooja and decorate them with diyas and rangoli in order to welcome goddess Lakshmi to their homes. However, Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped in three forms, Mahalakshmi (the Goddess of wealth), Mahasaraswati (the Goddess of knowledge), and Mahakali (Goddess of goodness)

Sohe shubh hans savari, atul tej dhari

Bayen kar me vina, dayen kar mala
Shish mukut mani sohe, galmotiyan mala
Maiya jai……
Devisharan jo aye, unka uddhar kiya
Pathi Manthara dasi, Ravan sanhar kiya

Vidhya gyan pradayini, gyan prakash bharo
Moh, agyan aur timir ki jag se nash karo

Dhoop deep phal meva, ma svikar karo
Gyanchakchhu de Mata, jag nistar karo

Ambe tu hai Jagdambe Kali jai Durge khappar waali,
Tere hi gun gaye Bharti
O Maiya ham sab utare teri aarti.
Mata tere bhakt jano par bhin pari hai bhari
Danav dal par tut pano ma karke singh savari.
Sau sau singho se balshali asht bhujao waali
Dukhiyon ke dhukh ko nivarati
O Maiya ham sab utare teri aarti.
Ma bete ka hai es jag me bada hi nirmal nata
Put kapoot sune hai par na Mata suni kumata
Sab par karuna barsane waali amrit barsane waali.

Nahi mangate dhan aur daulat na chandi na sona
Ham to mange Ma tere man men ek chhota sa kona
